Chronic Shoulder with Motor Control Issues

In this epic 40+ min case, I go over
  • cervical, shoulder, and thoracic Clinical Practice Patterns
  • IASTM and isometrics/resistance through the range to make repeated cervical loading threat free
  • using resistance through the range to improve trunk rotation and scapula rotation
  • self resets
  • incidentally, this PT had no pain, and mostly noticed her severe lack of abduction when teaching wall slides to her patients
  • when she was diligent with her her program throughout the 3 day seminar, she kept most of her motion, when she wasn't, it was still improved over her baseline, but not as good as if she locked it in with repeated loading and working the new range
