Stop Thought Viruses: Fractures are Not Related to Pain

This is one of my favorite examples about pathology and tissue findings not being related to pain. In every MMT Seminar, I ask who has had a fracture. Answers range from "Yes - and it hurt A LOT for weeks," to "Yes - I fractured my wrist and I thought it was sprained."

It's a good question to ask patients because most of them will have experienced a fracture, and once immobilized the pain goes away, but they are still "fractured" for weeks.
